La Cour de Rémi

La Cour de Rémi is a family-owned country inn and restaurant housed in a restored 19th-century white-stone farmhouse in Bermicourt, Pas-de-Calais, offering an intimate auberge with ten bedrooms and a 15-hectare park that was formerly a château and a historical military headquarters. The house is run by Sébastien, who returned from international professional experiences, took a CAP in cooking and trained alongside Yves Camdeborde and Stéphane Jego, learning charcuterie and the art of working with pork. The restaurant follows a locavore, market-driven philosophy: everything is made in-house—bread, terrines, sauces and jus—using local producers, ancient wheat flours and seasonal produce. The wine list prioritises natural, low-intervention wines from small artisan vignerons across France, and the house holds a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand distinction. The property feels like a warm country auberge with large rooms and stone buildings opening onto a wide park. The restaurant and the seasonal Grange emphasise convivial communal tables, a relaxed musical ambiance and barn seating with tables d’hôtes alongside dining in the main house. The cuisine is French, market-led and 100% house-made, focused on concentrated flavours, expert meat caramelisations and occasional wood-fire grilling, with a menu that changes by season and highlights local producers and natural wines. Specialties include the house terrine with sourdough from ancient wheat flours; wood‑fire grilled meats and roast chicken (La Grange); cochonailles and charcuterie; seasonal game and vegetable preparations; and a curated natural‑wine selection.
