The partner's word
Located in the heart of San Francisco, the Bently Reserve is a historic event venue housed in a former Federal Reserve Bank building dating back to the Roaring 1920s. This landmark structure combines classic Beaux-Arts architecture with Art Deco influences, featuring grand Doric columns, hand-painted travertine walls, and an ornate plaster ceiling adorned with chandeliers designed by the original architect. The venue’s design reflects the elegance and style of early 20th-century San Francisco, making it a distinctive setting for a variety of events.
The centerpiece of the venue is the Banking Hall, a vast space with soaring 25-foot ceilings, a bronze and marble imperial staircase, and large bronze doors. The hall opens onto a mezzanine level and an outdoor balcony, ideal for cocktail receptions or dramatic entrances. The venue also includes two green rooms and light-flooded entryways, providing versatile spaces for gatherings and preparation.
Steeped in history, the Bently Reserve was originally the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank from 1926 to 1983. During construction, remains of two historic ships were discovered beneath the foundation, commemorated today in meeting rooms named after the Apollo and the Niantic. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and incorporates sustainable design elements, having achieved LEED Platinum® Commercial Interiors certification.
