Pique Travel Design

Pique Travel Design is a distinctive event venue located in Historic Excelsior, Minnesota. Housed in a building originally constructed in the 1940s as the Lyman Lumber Warehouse, the space underwent a full restoration in 2014, blending rustic charm with modern amenities. The venue’s design thoughtfully reflects its name, evoking a spirit of exploration through carefully curated aesthetics.

The 3,000 square foot interior features expansive western-facing windows that fill the space with natural light, complemented by a vaulted wooden barrel ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace with a six-foot gas firebox. Rustic floors marked with yellow pallet signs from the building’s lumber days, hand-poured concrete trough sinks, and reclaimed sliding stable doors contribute to a modern farm feel, while a built-in kitchen with a tiered concrete bar and a saltwater aquarium wall add contemporary touches.

Casual yet sophisticated, the open-concept venue accommodates intimate groups of up to 130 guests. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are available, including a full-length deck along the western wall, making it suitable for a wide range of celebrations such as weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and creative workshops. The venue’s blend of historic character and modern functionality creates a unique setting for diverse gatherings.
