Maison Desamy

Opened in November 2019, Maison Desamy holds one Michelin star and occupies a renovated Napoleonic building that once housed watchmaker Desamy's shop. Simon and Emmanuelle Bessonnet created the house after extensive reflection and local collaboration, adopting a humble, elegant approach to fine dining. The chef trained from age 14, attended hotel school and worked in renowned gastronomic houses in France and England, developing technical rigour and a philosophy of respect for ingredients. The cuisine is modern and eclectic, inspired by travel and meetings, and the house offers a weekly reinvented lunch menu. The restored 1860s Napoleonic building retains preserved cement tiles and contains three intimate dining rooms, a glassed wine cellar built around the natural rock, a boudoir-style small salon and a shaded patio terrace with sixteen places. The dining rooms are welcoming, luminous, sober and simply elegant, with refined table settings and carefully presented colourful dishes. The kitchen practises contemporary fine dining with emphasis on seasonal products, short supply chains and freshness, working as much as possible with passionate local producers; dishes draw on diverse influences and menus, including tasting menus, are frequently rethought and renewed monthly.
