Il Tiglio

Il Tiglio originated as an agriturismo in Montemonaco, located beneath the Grande Corno della Sibilla. After the original restaurant was destroyed by the 2016 earthquake, Chef Enrico Mazzaroni and his team spent time working by the sea in Porto Recanati before returning to the mountainous Monti Sibillini area. The restaurant’s cuisine reflects this landscape and Enrico’s evolving style, rooted firmly in the local terroir. Focusing on the region’s natural bounty, Il Tiglio’s menu changes with the seasons and highlights the provenance and role of each ingredient. Many products come directly from the restaurant’s farm or trusted local producers, including fresh meats, vegetables, herbs, and fermented or preserved seasonal items. Since 2022, Il Tiglio has held a Michelin star, the first for Ascoli Piceno province. Enrico works alongside second chef Sabrina Tuzi to integrate traditional methods with creative approaches, crafting dishes that express the Marche’s culinary identity through innovative combinations.
