Aotea Centre, located in the heart of Auckland city on Mayoral Drive, is a multi-purpose conference and performing arts venue. The centre houses a range of flexible spaces suited to conferences, trade shows, gala dinners, cocktail functions, meetings, exhibitions, and performing arts events.


The Multi-function Convention Centre serves as the flagship space, accommodating standing events for up to 1,000 guests or boardroom-style for up to 96, and is home to one of New Zealand's largest modern tiered auditoriums, seating more than 2,000 people across three levels.


The Waitākere Rooms offer 518m² of contemporary space with large windows and city views. The area can be used as a whole or divided into three soundproofed sections, accommodating up to 350 guests theatre-style or 280 for a seated dinner. It is also a popular choice for Christmas parties and exhibitions.


The Hunua Rooms span 909m² and can be configured as one large space or divided into three individual rooms using retractable walls, each with a private foyer. Individual rooms range from 180m² to 204m² and accommodate up to 186 guests theatre-style.


The Balcony Foyer sits on the top level and offers 1,100m² of naturally lit space with sweeping views over Aotea Square, well suited to exhibitions of up to 42 booths and conference lunches.


Limelight provides 318m² of flexible space that can be used as one room or divided into two separate rooms, each seating up to 100 in a banquet setting.


The Waihorotiu Rooms on the fourth floor feature floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony overlooking Aotea Square, suited to day meetings, breakout sessions, and intimate celebrations for up to 220 standing guests.


The Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre is a fully refurbished auditorium seating up to 2,139, featuring birch timber and Tasmanian oak interiors, an acoustically responsive design, and a custom-fitted virtual sound shell.


The Circle Foyer offers 460m² of bright, marble-floored space directly connected to the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, ideal as a registration point or exhibition space. The Stalls Foyer provides 800m² suitable for trade shows and exhibitions of up to 20 booths, and can be combined with the Hunua Rooms for larger events.


The Terrace, located at the main entrance overlooking a central city green space, offers an indoor-outdoor setting for cocktail events, pre- and post-event functions, and casual gatherings, with a dedicated functions menu, coffee, and local craft beers available.
