El Almacén is situated beside the Adaja river in Ávila, Spain, within a historic warehouse dating back to 1880 that originally served as a wheat granary. The restaurant offers views of Ávila’s medieval walls, visible from its modern, cozy dining room. Elegant linen, polished cutlery, and fine glassware complement the refined ambiance. Under chef Isidora Beotas, the menu reinterprets traditional recipes with a modern, creative touch, focusing on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients like wild fish, game meats, and Avileña beef. Signature dishes include sardine salad with parmesan and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette, spicy cuttlefish and prawn stew, creamy rice with bacon, wild asparagus and parmesan, as well as grilled hake with baby octopus and onions. The extensive wine list, curated by sommelier Julio Delgado Manrique, features over 900 labels from Spain and international regions including Chile, Argentina, Portugal, France, and Australia.
