The Timber Yard is a converted industrial venue situated on 6,000 sqm in the Port Melbourne industrial precinct. Built on a philosophy of recycling and upcycling, the site has been restored to honour its heritage as a former second-hand timber storage and fabrication facility. The venue is designed to bring a country atmosphere into an urban setting and caters for a wide range of events including corporate functions, private celebrations, expos, markets, weddings, and live music.
The Industrial Converted Warehouse and Lawn is the venue's primary multi-purpose space, accommodating up to 1,500 standing or 1,200 seated guests across a 6,000 sqm site that combines indoor and outdoor areas.
The Converted Industrial Warehouse is the largest fully enclosed event space, decorated with reclaimed timber, tools, and greenery. It accommodates up to 1,500 guests standing or seated and features floor-to-ceiling drapes that can section off areas for more intimate configurations.
The Open Air Wood Store is a long, undercover structure formerly used for drying wood, suited to conference-style layouts, long table dining, or fashion runway events, with a standing capacity of 400.
The Yard is a 1,000 sqm turfed outdoor area with a full-service outdoor bar, suited to wedding ceremonies, product launches, car shows, or cocktail-style events, with a standing capacity of 1,500.
The Rustic Renovated Workshop is the smallest enclosed space, with a capacity of 100, and is suited to conference breakout sessions, wedding ceremonies, or brand activations.
Meeting Room 2 is a large upstairs meeting room accommodating up to 50 standing or 20 boardroom-style, suitable for VIP use, private dining, or as a bridal suite, with views over the rear warehouse.
Meeting Room 1 is a smaller room equipped with couches, a kitchenette, and an adjoining toilet and shower, with a boardroom capacity of 12, ideal for keynote speakers, performers, or key staff.
