8½ London is an urban event venue located on Dowgate Hill in the City of London. The building combines historic architecture with a range of distinctive spaces suited to corporate events, private dining, receptions, and celebrations. The Great Hall is the venue's principal event space, dating back to around 1670 and featuring original architectural details alongside large murals by Sir Frank Brangwyn. It accommodates up to 200 guests standing. The Outer Hall is a flexible ground-floor space that connects directly to the Great Hall. It can function as a standalone room or as an extension of the main hall, with capacity for up to 90 guests standing. The Inner Courtyard offers an open-air setting away from the surrounding city noise, accommodating up to 150 guests standing. It is fully accessible. The Vaults, situated on the lower ground floor, has its own entrance from College Street, allowing guests to arrive independently of the main building. It holds up to 120 guests standing. The Old Court Room is a characterful space on the site of Dick Whittington's former college, featuring classic wall panelling and a long table formerly used by the East India Company. It accommodates up to 120 guests standing. The Court Room opens directly onto the roof terrace and is suited to meetings, private dinners, and receptions, with a standing capacity of 70. The Roof Terrace and Pavilion is an open-air space accommodating up to 250 guests standing, with a covered pavilion providing weather protection. It is suited to summer parties, corporate events, and large receptions. The Dowgate suite comprises a Dining Room and an adjoining Reception Room. The Dining Room seats around 18 at a central table or up to 35 in theatre style, and has its own dedicated kitchen. Combined, the two rooms can host receptions for up to 60 guests, making the suite well suited to private dining and corporate events.
