From day one it drew long lines and quickly became a community fixture, often mistaken for a coffee shop because of its name and storefront; the restaurant aims to make the best BBQ in Texas and has earned a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand, a 2023 James Beard Award nomination and Texas Monthly’s No.1 BBQ listing in its 2025 Top 50. Located in the heart of downtown Seguin, the space is community‑focused and lively with lines out the door. Seating is casual and shared, and guests are asked not to occupy a table until they have placed their order. The kitchen focuses on craft Texas barbecue — smoked and grilled meats with bold flavors and a creative take on tradition. Most items are produced in‑house and the menu rotates weekend‑only specialty cuts and Sunday Tejano‑style breakfast specials alongside classic plates and inventive sides.
